The 2023 Chevrolet Suburban comes with new exterior colors, such as the Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and the Radiant Red Tintcoat. The new Chevrolet Suburban is available in 6 different trims (LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country), and some trims offer three engine options—a 5.3L V8 engine, 3.0 Duramax Turbo Diesel engine, and 6.2L V8 engine. Buyers can now have access to the hands-free driving tech if they opt for the Premier and High Country trim levels. The other models can now have a blacked-out grille. The new version also boasts of a powerful towing capacity.

Engine, transmission, and performance:

The impressive Suburban lineup hooks up to a 10-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with either rear or four-wheel drive. The default engine (5.3L V8) delivers 355 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The Suburban can also be fitted with adaptive dampers and adjustable air suspension to automatically or manually adjust the car’s height and improve passenger accessibility, aerodynamics, and ground clearance.

Towing capacity: The car can tow anywhere between 7,800-8,300 pounds, depending on whether you choose the four-wheel drive or rear-drive system.

Fuel economy: The Suburban is most efficient when paired with a diesel engine and offers 21 mpg in the city, and 27 mpg on the highway, for the rear-drive version. The standard 5.3L V8 engine offers 15 mpg, while the 6.2L V8 offers 14 mpg in the city. Both these engines earn up to 20 mpg on the highway.

Interior and comfort: The new Chevy Suburban now has a much bigger interior space that can seat up to 8 adults. The third row can be comfortably used by adults, which is a rarity in three-row SUVs. The car also offers wireless phone charging, heated-and-ventilated seats, and a 12.3-inch head-up display (the size can vary across trims).

Infotainment: The Suburban has an optional rear-seat entertainment system that includes two 12.6-inch screens mounted behind the front seats, charging ports in the cabin, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The LS model offers an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while all other models come with a 10.2-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety and driver assistance: Key safety features in the new Chevrolet Suburban include standard forward collision warning and automated emergency braking, standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The car also features some innovative assists for towing.

Warranty: Chevrolet offers a complimentary maintenance service on the first visit, along with a competitive limited and powertrain warranty. The Limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles, whereas the Powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles.

The updated Chevy Suburban can cost anywhere between $53,100 and $65,700, based on the trim level and amenities you choose. With its improved driving styles, trailering capacities, three engine options, and roomy interiors, the new Chevrolet Suburban is a true workhorse and an ideal option for individual and family buyers.
