Detailed Overview of the New Toyota Tundra

Toyota is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers across the globe. The company, founded in 1937, produces a number of different vehicles, including SUVs, pickup trucks, and more. When it comes to pickup trucks, Toyota has two models that are available in the country. One of these is the Toyota Tundra. The large pickup was first released in May 1999 and has since had many upgrades. Here is an overview of the latest Toyota Tundra 2023:

Overview
The new Toyota Tundra that is due for release in 2023 has had great changes in design, performance, and interiors. The car lies between a big pickup truck and a domestic pickup truck that you may see in the city.

Detailed Overview of the New Toyota Tundra
This is similar to the previous models and a unique characteristic you find with the Toyota Tundra. Many might wonder why there is no massive redesign. But, that’s only because the 2022 Toyota Tundra had undergone a massive makeover. This was the first redesign of the popular pickup truck in fourteen years. The 2023 model, although not “new”, does boast various new features, including a powerful engine, two and four-wheel variants, massive interiors and storage space, and even top-notch infotainment.

New Features
The 2023 Toyota Tundra has kept the design from the last model, but there are a few changes in the form of trims and appearance packages.

The 2023 model offers appearance changes to the SR5 trims and has added black and dark gray designs into the vehicle’s exteriors. The SX package will also come with massive dark gray wheels, backdoor handles for easy access, and a darker rear badge that matches the look of the car. The interiors of this variant have also been changed to black, and the door badges have been removed. If black or darker shades are not for you, you can opt for the SX trim in white, silver, and even gray.

Engine and Performance
Most full-sized pickup trucks come with a powerful V-8 engine. But, the new Toyota Tundra is different in this aspect. Instead of a V-8 engine, the vehicle comes with a twin-turbo V-6 engine and an automatic 10-speed transmission box. The engine itself comes with three different powers. The first one is the most base SR trim which has a non-hybrid engine and can give users up to 348 horsepower. The hybrid version of the SR base comes with an electric motor integrated into the transmission. This makes driving possible with only electricity at lower speeds and makes it a sustainable model. The hybrid can give you up to 437 horsepower.

Aside from the engine, the car also does well in terms of performance. One of the major changes in this area is the improved rear suspension. The older models of the Tundra used to have a leaf-spring setup for suspension. But, the new Toyota Tundra now uses a coil-spring suspension that is a lot more elegant, efficient, and most importantly, improves the driving and handling characteristics of the car. The vehicle also offers massive towing capabilities of up to 12,000 pounds, slightly lower than other vehicles in this category.

Interiors and storage
The interiors of the Toyota Tundra are sleek and neat. The dashboard comes with many vents. The center section of the vehicle is connected to the door panels. The best part about the new car is that it has had a significant upgrade in terms of quality. The material used for the interiors is much better than the ones used for the previous generations of the car. You can get better interiors if you opt for the more expensive trims. Some of them even come with wood accents. The center console comes with a huge center bin and a storage cubby for storage and cargo. The cargo bed length is available in three sizes.
