All about the Honda Accord

One of the leading Japanese automobile brands in the world, Honda was launched in the year 1946 by Soichiro Honda. The founder was fond of automobiles so much so, that he used to tune cars in his friends’ garage and send them into car races. Soichiro started small in 1946 with Honda Technical Research Institute that produced customized bicycles with attached motors. While Honda started out with barely 12 employees, today the company has become a known brand.

Honda Accord is the most-loved cars in the market which has stayed around for almost four long decades now. The Honda Accord dates back to the year 1976 when the first-gen Accord was a two-door hatchback, followed by a four-door sedan in 1979.

Then in 1982, the production of gen two Accords moved to Ohio, making it the first ever Japanese vehicle to be manufactured in the country. As time passed by, the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth generation Honda Accords continued to be launched. The ninth generation, 2013 Honda Accord was then given a more contemporary look as compared to its predecessors.

This ninth-generation Honda has better performing features, and to top it all, it has great fuel economy. The 2013 Honda Accord is available as a coupe as well as a sedan and is also available in a variety of models.

It comes with a four-cylinder or V-6 engine, along with a choice of manual or automatic drive, depending on the trim level you’ve chosen. The sedan trims range from LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring, while the coupe trims range from LX-S, EX, and EX-L.
