Advantages of using prepaid cell phones

Best prepaid cell phone deals in the United States are not often marketed because they want their customers on contractual basis rather than a one-time investment. Customers often have a wrong notion that if they end up paying upfront $600 – $800, it is a sham; whereas ending up giving $200 a month and paying more at the end of the year is far safer and better. All this is due to the extra marketing efforts by the postpaid plans simply because they want their customers on a contract basis. The reasons for considering a prepaid phone plan are many.

Advantages of using prepaid cell phones
Some of these include the flexibility of using these phones, they are not contractual, no credit check and they have many options to choose from, unlike a postpaid plan. You have to initially pay the full amount of the prepaid cell phone and then pay the service rates on a monthly basis, which is still lesser than the postpaid plan because there is no contract.

As per a research conducted in 2012, people were found buying iPhones more on contractual basis rather than the prepaid mobile phones, ending up with a two-year contract on AT&T, giving $200 for the phone and $90 per month for the plan.

When the amount of the year end contract was calculated, it came up to $2360. Looking at the Virgin mobile prepaid handsets, the iPhone was pried at $650 and a $30 per month with unlimited data and the customer ended up paying $1370 after two years of the contract.

If you look at prepaid cellphone plans, Cricket is an AT&T network wherein customers pay a $25 activation fee with their own phone. MetroPCS owned by T-Mobile has a data for 5GB plan and you can choose applications paying for new phone up to $700. Go for a prepaid cellphone plan and it is always worth it!
